I am new to the $15 plan and it indicates in my account that I have unlimited international texting, which is useless to me, considering I have Whatsapp, Telegram and Signal.

What I am wondering about is what about outgoing and incoming texts within Canada and the U.S.? U.S., again, is not critical, but I want to be able to text within Canada.

Outgoing SMS service is only unlimited while you're in Canada. While you're in Canada, you can send text messages to any destination. Incoming text messgaes will work in both Canada and U.S..

In other words, do you mean that it is not included while in the U.S.?

What happens when I am traveling within Canada? For example, I go to Ontario, which I do a lot. Do I have to initiate roaming service or anything like that? Or can I simply call and text over there, as usual?

@musicollector You can text/call and use your data anywhere in Canada. You can receive incoming texts in the US without the need to purchase roaming add-on, however, you won't be able to text back without the roaming add-on.

One last question. I will be visiting the US (off the mainland). So, now I know I cannot return texts. I guess if outgoing texts are roaming, it is fair to assume outgoing calls will also be subject to the same condition? What about incoming calls and data usage?

Incoming SMS messages are the only thing that will work unless you purchase a roaming add-on.
