USA text+talk+data $20 add on Payment Date?

Hello,

I'm planning on visiting New York this October 2017.

My question is that if I were to purchase the USA talk+text+data (250 MB) add on for $20, when does it start? Is there a way to set a date for it to acitvate if I were to purchase it ahead of time?

I logged on and was about to go through the process but stopped at the "pay for the add on" part because I didn't want it to activate now (Sept 4).

Please advise. Thank you.

The add on will work once activated. That means once you buy it it will activate and I dont think that you can set it up to start at a specific date . Also note that it is a two steps process, the first step will just add funds to your account and then the second step will actually buy the addon

Thank for the quick reply.

Once I purchase the add on and have my credit card billed, is there a time period to wait until the add on activates or once I press ok to purchase on my credit card, the add on begins immediately?

There is no waiting period. It is active right away and the day you activate it counts in your 10 days. As others said, pay and buy it ( the two step process) right before you head into the US.

@123justin, as @zhadj030 has mentioned it is a two step process. So even though your credit card has been charged your plan is not active. You will then have to go in and "re-purchase" the addon, once you have done this it will be active. The duration it is active is 10 Calendar days with your purhcase date being day one, so if you purhcased it on October 9th at 9PM ET it will expire on October 18th at Midnight ET time. That is a big thing as some people weren't sure if it was 10 Calendar days or 10-24 hours days.

As a note, once I pay and then do it again to add the add on, I go back to the first page of my account, the summary, to make sure it is showing under add ons. Once it is there it is active and it has always worked for me.

Provisions to allow a delayed start on the US add-on is still under consideration. Not sure what there is to think about, it's a no brainer.
