International texting and calling

Hello,

My parents are away in Europe and are Public mobile users. I too am a Public Mobile user and am in Canada.

Before they left Canada, I made sure to purchase my parents extra international long distance minutes 600. There plan also covers international text messages.

They have now arrived in Europe and I am not able to text or call them. They are also not able to text or call me.

Am I missing something?

Please help

@Sand2 yes you are, public mobile only works in Canada or US with an add on they can't use it in europe sorry

Oh no, that's not good.

I purchased it thinking they could use the phone there. So why is there the option to buy the ad ons?

So you can call those destinations from Canada.

@Sand2 the add on is so you can phone people in europe that have a phone plan that works in europe for example if you knew people that lived there that have a phone on a local network

PM does not provide service outside of Canada as per your plan and Only in US with appropriate US add-on.

All PM 'international' long distance add-ons are for calling FROM Canada.
