I just want to confirm that to be able to use my phone in the USA, I can select the talk+text + 250 mbs data for 20$? No need to get anything activated?

if you want to use your phone anywhere in the US, then you will need to buy a US roaming add on. If you want talk, text & data, you will need that add on

Just remember that adding add ons is a two step process

In more detail - you have to add the funds first then buy the addon.

As above - choose the USA roaming services you would like to have..

data (couple of options 250mb, 500 & 1gb as i recall), voice ($8 unltd 10day ), text ($8 unltd 10day).

If you want all 3 then there is the call, text & data (250Mb) for $20 option.

1st:Choose to add them & system will ask you to add funds through your credit card.

2nd step: Once the funds are approved, then you still need to actually add them.

NOTES:
All are 10 days & start immediately !!
(So best is to add them after midnight or first thing in the morning of you trip.)

No need to do anything else.

Once you leave Canada & go into roaming mode - your phone should look for new signal/ carrier & connect (I've read they partnered with both T Mobile & ATT).

TIPS:

download google off line maps for your trip if driving before u leave to save data.

Not that you would add 2 combo plans, but you can not stack the same plan at same time - the first one has to end (i'm thinking 2 data add-on). But if you think u might use more data (than the 250mb in the 3 pack) - you can add a second data add on or probably better to see if use up 250mb first. I've had mixed experiences -once having lots left & once using 250 quite fast.

Utilize hotel wifi for any trip updates or directions to you off line maps & plans..

I've used the USA add on's 3 times now & they've worked perfectly each time.

I though there was only 1 possible data plan (250mbs) available, are there GB plans? Also, I usualy go for 1-2 months, is there a plan that covers a longer duration than 10 days?

I purchased us roamin August 16 and when I login it shows in my profile

I am in US now and it is not working . I need this ASAP
