      <description>&lt;P&gt;My phone is new and now know it's a USA model. It shows a good 4g connection but will not call out or receive calls.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have read that Telus locks out some IMEI's&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/159569"&gt;@diger&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Public Mobile (Telus) will not lock an IMEI.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But they will disallow blacklisted devices from using the network. If the device has been registered as lost/stolen/hacked/etc then and Telus won't let it do anything on their network other emergency calls.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is possible, especially if you aren't the original owner. But it seems more likely that the device is carrier-locked (to a USA provider) or that it is not properly configured.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In the USA, they still practice carrier locking phones. There is a high likelyhood that the phone will only work on T-mobile, AT&amp;amp;T, Verizon or Sprint.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If so, can you contact the provider of the phone and check if this is locked in anyway?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sometimes LG's need a Factory reset for services to work (remember to back up anything you may need first, if you do this though).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But prior to do this, try a Network reset.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Find&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;and tap Settings &amp;gt; System &amp;gt; Advanced &amp;gt; Reset options &amp;gt; Reset network settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;After many different attempts it still shows strong Lte connection and will ring phoning out but after someone answers nothing, same on incoming calls I answer then nothing. LG V30 model LG-US998. Never had trouble with other USA unlocked phones. I think it's not registered correctly to PB-Telus. The APN is correct. Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
