Changing plan after address change

Hello,

I got a sim card from my brother who was I Alberta and now I'm in Ontario. We changed all the details, email, address and etc to my details. I wanted to change the plan but it wouldn't let me. Is there a reason?

Also if the sim card was first under an address in Alberta and now in Ontraio will the unlimited call in the province will be working in Ontraio? Or should I just order a new sim card?

In Short:

You can make unlimited calls in Ontario. But without a long-distance add-on, you will not be able to receive any call from anywhere or make any call outside of Ontario.

I would check the Mod_team to see if they could "migrate" you from Alberta to Ontario. 🙂

If you change your number to, to a number available in the new province you are moving to. You will be able to make provincial calls in that province

Example. Im in Ontario, moving to BC. I change my number to a BC number. I can now make BC calls in my provincal calling. But i cannot call ontario numbers without the add on

Regarding the inability to do a plan change: Is the account in expired status? If so, plan changes on an expired account can only be done by a moderator. In that case,

click this Moderator_Team link to send a private message for assistance.

Just to add a correction to this, this does not restrict you receiving calls from anywhere just making calls.
