Correct date format

Trying to put a ticket. It is asking to put a date but does not suggest the format it should be entered.

I tried variations but can't seem to get the correct one.

yyyy.mm.dd

mm.dd.yyyy

mm-dd-yyyy

yyyy-mm-dd

None seam to be acceptable. Any suggestions?

@nata_lya - I don't think I have come across this issue before..where were you asked to enter a date?

It would be nice to have the required format of data shown since all the fields are required to be filled.
