    <description>&lt;P&gt;That should have worked. Can you tell us what plan you have right now? There were “provincial plans” in the past that would prevent you from calling without an addon. Or, if you're on a plan with limited minutes, check to make sure you still have available minutes.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Good day,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am calling Ottawa from Victoria. I place a 1 area code number but i get a response telling me I need to put a 1 for long distances. Not sure what to do next. Thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Reboot&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;perform a reset of your network settings.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>

If so this is a courtesy message from telus and if you stay on the line after the message ends it will still connect as you will never incur any overages, extra billing or fees from public mobile.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
