PM doesn't have eSIM as an option currently, and probably won't any time soon. (if at all)

Can't you leave your PM physical SIM in and get an esim in South Africa from a local carrier? Or Ubigi? They have e-sim plans from $10 USD for 1GB.

And even if it does have eSim, it wouldn't work (overseas).

@jamesmx21

Public Mobile does not support e-SIM. They also only offer roaming in the US. You can get a text forwarding app but it's rather erroneous to set up. It's easier to set up call forwarding of your pm phone # to a voip app like textnow or fongo. Choose a Canadian phone #. Before you leave call forward your pm # to your voip #. Make sure your pm sim card does not connect to a US tower in case you transit thru the US. Now you receive your incoming pm calling to your voip # while on WiFi or with a local SIM card using mobile data.

If you are not on a promotional plan or have plan specific promotions that you can lose if you change plans then schedule a change plan on next renewal to the $15 plan to keep your plan costs low while you are away.

To contact customer support :

Submit a support ticket via Simple--Simon the chat bot Click here

Or if you prefer or cannot submit a support ticket you may send a private message : Click here

To pre-verify add in your private messaging only your full name, address, email, phone # & 4 digit account pin #
