US Roaming Talk

I have data and unlimited international texting with my monthly plan .I am travelling to the US so I need only to purchase a US talk add-on as I already have texting and data?

Please advise if this is the right way to go!

Unfortunately no, @rhull

Any services you need in the USA will have to be purchased via the US Roaming add-on options. They include talk, text, and/or data.

The features you list (as with all current Public Mobile plans) are only for use while in Canada.

Make sure you select the add-on a day or so before traveling as they're only good for 10 days at a time.

If you're going for more than a few weeks, consider purchasing a local SIM card while in the USA as the cost of several consecutive add-ons over 30+ days is considerably more than purchasing a local SIM card on a pre-paid basis.

HI @rhull No, those unlimited text included in your plan is for you to text FROM Canada to other countries

When you are in US , you will need to buying Roaming Add-ons

Depends on what you need, some people will use VoIP app like TextNow to make calls and text for free. It can be used as long as you have wifi. Some people might buy local US data. Then in this case, you can use Textnow with your mobile data as well

I second this if it is only a week or a week and a half then the roaming add ons should do the trick but beyond that you may want to look at local alternatives.
