Hello!

I was just wondering if I would still be able to receive text messages if I were to travel abroad. Outside of the US and Canada. Or is that beyond the coverage range?

Sorry, will not work abroad. Public Mobile plans only work while you are in Canada or in the US with a US add-on.

The ONLY available service outside Canada (without a USA Roaming add-on), is receiving SMS while in the USA.

There are many others who claim that, thus I believe it to be accurate. Again, only within USA, not outside continental Canada/US borders.

No you will not be able to receive neither SMS nor calls while out of Canada. While in US you can have service but only with buying add-on and in blocks of 10 days.

You might want to use a VoIP wifi app like WhatsApp or TextNow while you are abroad or buy a local SIM where you are going.
