International call is not working

Hi Everyone,

I added $15 for 300 minutes of international calls to my plan. Now whenever I call my brother in Egypt it keeps telling me that this number is not correct !! Am I missing any step to activate the $15 add-on ?

Did you Ever call Egypt before from PM phone?

I do not see Egypt included in PM long distance add-on

International calling is for calling from Canada to other countries: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela

@for_ever Sorry, Egypt is not part of the International calling add-on. PM's International callings can only call a very small number or countries

Intl long distance Add-On included countries: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada.

You can open a ticket with PM Support and explain the situation and ask them to make a refund or reverse the transaction.

To call Egypt, you will have to use Calling calls or other app like Skype

When I was buying the add-on, it was not mentioned that some countries are excluded from the add-on. It was just international calls !

Did you go back to the add ons page and select the add on again and then confirm and submit the payment? Your account isn't smart enough to know how you want to spend your available funds. You have to purchase the add on after topping up your account. Just like a vending machine. After you add your money you have to select your beverage of choice so the machine knows which beverage to drop into the pick up receptacle.

Unfortunately Egypt is not part of PM add-on for long distance calls.

If you know you will not use this add-on, contact agent and ask for refund as you bought add-on in error.

It seems it's not included in the dialing plan of PM unfortunately 😞

You can contact customer support and explain your honest mistake and ask them to remove the add on and credit your account. You can use the credit towards your next renewal.

Sorry about that. I could of sworn I saw Egypt on the list. I must have been using my imagination?!! Getting a calling card from your corner shop usually has the cheapest calling rates. If you are on the $15 plan choose a calling card that you call a toll free North American number first and then dial your destination number. This way the toll free number won't use up your 100 outgoing minutes.

I'm not familiar with the toll free North American Number trick... I have an Egyptian community here, let me see what they do!

It's been awhile since I bought a calling card but my husband was from Dublin so in the '90's and 2000's calling cards offered calling rates to Ireland under $0.05/min. When we still had a landline the phone number you called to enter your calling card number and dial out to Ireland didn't really matter but once we got a cellphone plans had limited minutes or much more expensive overage rates but toll free numbers didn't incur extra minute charges on our plan so we always scrutinized the cards with a toll free number vs a local number to call to connect.

My sister is living in Portugal and we mostly FaceTime....when we talk. Is that an option?
