So is a $1.99 Public Mobile SIM card an indication of the change of rewards to points has driven potential new customers elsewhere and the SIM price was dropped to attract new customers? Basic marketing.

If you have some on hand you “might” not want to buy any for awhile from what I can see. Although buying more will reduce your average cost of a SIM card. 😀
