if i upgrade my plan will i be automatically enrolled in on the new points system? (i would like to stay on the old pts system)

No, you would not get enrolled into new Points system. All rewards stay as is same as accumulated rewards.

Do a plan change on next renewal; do not do it change Now unless you really have to change it. Just saves you few $ that way.

Fortunately, entry into the new Public Points system requires a series of steps under the new Public Points site.

The only other way you would be enrolled is if you activate a new service.

BTW, best to not do this.
