JL9: As of later February, AT&T are shutting down their 3G network. As of early July, T-Mobile will do the same. Slowly. So later this year might be a problem for the roaming add-ons. We don't yet know what Public will do about this.

Make sure to familiarize yourself with how to get the 10 Day US Roaming add that you want. I'd suggest add sufficient $$ to Available Funds...then go back and buy the add-on. The add-on is valid for 240 hours only so depending on how long you're gone for...you might want to buy it when you get there (using wifi to access your PM account in Hawaii).

Enjoy your trip.

Let us know if you're needing service for more than 10 days. You could also opt to use apps to call and text when on any of the multitude of wifi access points.

Hawaii are part of US so US add-on should work there.

US roaming Talk cannot be stacked. Next one has to be purchased after initial expire but you have to wait 24 hours.

Confirm first if they have AT&T or T-mobile service there as you will be connecting to either of them in order to use add-on.

US add-on starts as soon as you purchase it and is valid for 240 hours so do not buy it days in advance.

Are you familiar with 2-step add-on buying process?

gahhh...thanks for the heads up. Hopefully there will be an alternative then for US roaming. Otherwise I guess it will be wifi and voip apps.

JL9: Shrug. If there is no way for the service to work there then one might presume Public would remove the add-ons. We already know that some parts of AT&T are still working, so it may take time to fully shut down both.

Or, Public enables volte and makes roaming agreements to start roaming with those providers on their volte.
