Hey all,

I got a new phone, but the SIM card from my old phone does not fit the new one. I am thinking of just getting a new SIM card that fits the new phone. Will my phone line be automatically transferred to the new SIM card? I just have to put the new SIM card in the new phone and it'll work like normal? The old one won't be good anymore?

Thank you for your time !

You probably have a tri SIM already. They are triple cut and can be pushed out for the right size. Is your SIM too big or too small?

If the SIM is too big then hold the edges and push down in the middle to pull the right size SIM out.

If the SIM is too small then you can buy the adaptor and use it.

If still you want to buy PM SIM and swap it then use Change SIM link in self serve and if use email authorization confirmation.

@simonhor1 - if the current SIM card you have is too small to fit in your new phone's SIM slot, you could also obtain an adapter from cell shops. I am sure they dispose of them often. So if you ask, nicely, for any outer adapters they may just give them to you.

If SIM card is too large (and it is an older style non-3in1 type) cell shops can also cut them down to size to fit your SIM slot. Now, this would likely be a $5-$10 charge. So it is up to you if you want to proceed that way, or just buy a new Public Mobile SIM card and swap the number on your Self Serve account as @softech posted.
