@NewBC : Now that's what I call calling out. Those users are attempting to violate the rules of the place. We're not allowed to send you a code without you asking. You can ask in the open like here or ask someone in private message. But we aren't allowed to send you one.

Those people are slightly skirting that rule by contacting you before you ask. For the second one, it's kinda not really entirely proper to contact you beforehand though. You shouldn't have to ignore them.

I thought it was spam. When I posted here. Countrydownleuk wrote back to me angrily saying I could have just said no or ignored the message.

If you don't mind holding out for xmas/boxing week pm will likely sweeten the pot with a free month credit and possibly a 5gb bonus data add on. These are often matched by Canadian Cell Supplies so have a read through my thread below on how to maximize savings by stacking with their promotions although you may have to plan ahead to get the maximum benefit.
