Does anybody have experience with buying a phone through the available options?

I've found that Public Mobile is the ideal solution when you bring your own phone, but I'm wondering what people do when they ultimately need to replace their phone. Are the options here suitable, or is buying outright a better choice?

These phones are not subsidized. You do buy them outright. As for suitability...that's up to your wallet and shopping skills. If you want the latest greatest then you'll have to get contract elsewhere or find a retailer that will sell outright.
