When a pass ends, you can buy the US add on again. Unfortunately you cannot stack the add ons. So you would have to wait for the first pass to end, before adding another one of the same type.

Hi gang,

My father is currently in the US, I logged into his account and purchased the US Talk 10 day 7 days ago and thing were working fine, until he realized he needed text and was staying a little longer, so I went into his account yesterday and purchased the Talk & Text (10 Day), then when we receive a call from him in the evening, our calls get dropped after 20-30 seconds, we call him back and it drops after 20-30 seconds. It's hard to hold a conversation having to re-dial or him calling us back. Just trying to get some help for the old man who's trying to enjoy the vacay and call home or his friends in the US.

Also, in the Add On Tab it shows this:

US Talk (10 Day)

US Talk (10 Day)

US Text (10 Day)

Could purchasing the US Talk & Text have caused this issue?

Please help.

Thx!!!

I believe he's tried that as well, but the issue here is that it was working fine when I initially purchased the 10 Day Talk pass, but purchasing the 10 day Talk&Text pass seemed to have started the call drop issue.

buying an addon is a two step process. you buy it first, which gets money from your card. then you buy it again using the loaded money. Did you do that?

Usually you cannot stack us roaming add ons of the same type. As you had US talk before, and then added US Talk and text, it could have caused an issue with calls since there is now technically two US calling add ons now. You should have only added US Text. Perhaps one of the orcales or mods could confirm that this could be an issue

That's what I'm figuring as well, but because his initial talk pass was ending, I bought the Talk & Text Pass so that he wouldn't have to worry about losing his Talk when the initial pass ended.

System won't accept renewing a roaming add-on early. You can only "renew" the day after expiry. So, you have likely discovered a new bug by adding text which would be allowed but more calling which is not.

Definitely you need moderator assistance, BUT given their backlog it may be a day, or two, before you have a response.

There may be some workarounds if you need to stay in touch but would depend on you all being comfortable using data. Let us know.
