I’m just wondering if the Motorola razr v3xx is compatible with public mobile sims. I’m trying to downgrade to an older flip phone and I know that most are only 2G compatible but the v3xx is 3G compatible but I don’t understand bands.

Your phone's compatibility with our 4G or 4G LTE networks is based on the radio frequencies of your phone.

Always good to check whether a phone will work with any provider, especially Public Mobile. Use more than one source to be sure.

https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/CA

https://willmyphonework.net

3G or WCDMA 2 and 5 bands makes the phone compatible, which is needed for phone calls, and can also be used for text messaging and data.

LTE can be used for text messaging and data.

If that phone can handle frequencies mentioned here and in Help it should work with PM.

Ideally it will be if you can borrow PM's SIM for a few minutes and plug it in and check if SMS, calls, data are working.
