      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/209865"&gt;@Skippy69&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If you are moving away from PM,&amp;nbsp; you want your number to go with you, right?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do nothing with PM.&amp;nbsp; just make sure your account is active while you request porting.&amp;nbsp; Hence, Avoid porting out on the very last day of your current cycle.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If there is delay , you might have to pay for another month to complete the porting out&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PM account has to be active.&amp;nbsp; Then on your new provider, all you&amp;nbsp; need to do is to request porting and provide them your&amp;nbsp; PM account number.&amp;nbsp; You can find it on your My Account, top right&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After the porting request is submitted.&amp;nbsp; make sure your PM SIM is still in a phone and wait for an SMS from PM.&amp;nbsp; PM will send you a text and ask for your authorization with the porting.&amp;nbsp; You need to reply YES within 90 min or the porting will not go through&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once you reply YES, the process should finished in around 2 hours.&amp;nbsp; Once your number is ported out, your PM account will be closed.&amp;nbsp; Nothing else need to do on the PM side.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You should get a SMS message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to port your number. Your reply should be:&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;YES.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The confirmation message can take a few minutes to come in. You have 90 minutes from the time of request.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
