@hamidghanbari : That phone must be locked from elsewhere. If it was bought in Canada it should not have been locked.

What exact message are you seeing to make you ask this question?

You should remove any personal information by clicking on the three dots on the top right. You would need to contact Apple or if you were using a previous provider. Another option would be to go to companies that may charge you a fee.

did you confirm it's is indeed locked?

To check if your iPhone is locked, open Settings and tap General -> About -> Carrier Lock. An unlocked iPhone will say No SIM Restrictions.

if you got the phone from a Canadian carrier, you need to go back to where you purchased the phone and ask them for an unlock code

Unlocking your Canadian cell phone is free.

All wireless devices sold after December 1, 2017, must be unlocked or sold with instructions on how to unlock the device at no additional cost. All wireless devices that are locked to a carrier must be unlocked upon request at no cost to the consumer.

iphone 12 mini comes unlocked unless you got it with a plan then you have to contact public mobile
