is anybody else getting charge a different rate from your bill

i wanted to ask is anybody else getting billed more on your credit card statement than what your bill it? my accountant noticed this has been happening for a long time. it is not much. usually around the 20 cents range but it has been happening for a long time. has this been happening to anybody else? it is not legal to do that.

Did you take into account taxes that will be included on your cc statement? What plan are you on and how much do you pay after rewards and what is the tax rate in your province?

@phillip2446 : Yes the self-serve shows everything before tax and the payment card shows tax in. The renewals could possibly change depending on your rewards. Like referrals. If one drops then you lose the $1 and therefore have to pay that little bit more tax (+ the $1).

How much and how often is this change? Or did it start and then carries on at that amount?

This is strange?! You are saying you get overcharged by PM?
Did you calculated by hand: (plan cost - rewards - funds on account) + tax. Is that amount different than what CC statement says?

My charge is always correct...

Yes we will need more info to sort this out. Almost always when people say they are being overcharged here it is that they forgot to account for the taxes. But 20c isn’t going to cover the taxes on even the least expensive $10 plan even in Alberta with the lowest tax rate.

i get billed more on my credit card than what my statement says. so if i got a dsicount, it should be less, not more. apparently this has been happening on my bills since i started with public mobile.

@phillip2446 : What statement? If you like, we could help decipher what you're seeing at this end by posting screenshots of your overview page and a couple pages of your Transaction history from here (not payment card). Blank out personal info of course.

Edit: oh hey...taxes are charged based on the province of the area code of your number.

Take a screen shot of your last payment in transaction/payment history in self service removing personal info and post it here. What province are you in. We will tell you what your cc should say.

Yes @Anonymous could be on to something there. You pay the taxes based on your phones area code not the province you live in. So what province do you live in and what Area Code is your number in? Indeed this could account for a small discrepancy (like 20c) in an accountants mind.

Sounds like just taxes to me....your self serve transaction history does not show taxes but your credit card statement will show the amount charged + taxes.

Plan amount minus rewards minus promotional discounts= amount credit card charged+taxes (based on your area code for provincial taxes + gst.)

no. the credit charge is more than the statement.

so if i got a discount, it would be less on my statement or visa transactions.

I don’t see any indication of you confirming in the conversation that your phone number area code is in the same province that you currently reside in. You can move and take your number with you and the tax rate stays with the provincial rate of where the area code belongs.
