new phone no voice mail

i just upgraded my phone and now voicemail is not working anymore

this is what i get when i call voice mail

"your call cannot completed as dial

check number and try again

or call *611 for support"

please help

@simonguillot try reboot it once more . It usually comes down with the network.

Worst case, you can manually set it up using one of the local access number:

@simonguillot : What happens when you dial 17785804001? You need to set one of those voicemail access numbers in your phone for call forwarding and to access it.

i tried to reboot once more and still no luck

tried accessing when holding key 1 on keypad, and it does not work

works when calling directly number VM # 778-581-4001

how can i resolve this? or reprogram the phone number on key number 1

@simonguillot : There should be a setting in your dialer to set the voicemail number. On my Samsung A31 on Android 11 open the dialer, 3 dots upper right, Settings, Voicemail, Voicemail number.

@simonguillot : What do you mean "working the way it should not"? Can you press and hold the 1 key to get to your voicemail box now?

@simonguillot : And the callers can go to voicemail? ie. leave a voicemail ...and you get it?
