It is really not that great if someone only has limited time to do the transfer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You should get a message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to port your number.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I did a little reading and they do have their own thing going on in MB. They acquired a slice of the old MTS when Bell took it over.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But the problem is that they don't appear in the list of companies to port from. So they need moderator help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Preferably you do the first (#1) task before activation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Check if your number is portable to pm ( telus/koodo) at this link.....&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do?lang=en&amp;amp;appname=otherportal" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do?lang=en&amp;amp;appname=otherportal&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If no.... and you want to keep your phone number abandon your activation and have a think about this....if you didn't complete the activation the sim card can be re-used.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If yes.... choose a temporary number and finish your activation. Do not throw away your old sim card because you still need it to complete the porting process.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Put your pm sim card in your phone and determine all of your services are working.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When ready contact the moderators to initiate the porting process for you.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Put your old sim back in your phone as soon as you are in contact with the moderators and and have supplied the full name on the account, phone # and account # to be ported.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Reply YES to the porting authorization text within 90 minutes of recieving it.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Put your pm sim card back in your phone and your port will complete from a few minutes up to 2 hours. Any longer indicates an issue and you should reply to the moderators.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Your port completes when the old sim no longer works, your old account is cancelled and he pm sim card can recieve incoming calling.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Welcome to public mobile.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>
