When I signed up, there was a choice to use a referral code that I received from my brother and also one that I could’ve used to receive a $50 credit. Since I’m a nice guy, I chose the referral code that should give my brother a $50 credit. However, when I asked him about it he didn’t know anything about this offer. Since he seems to know everything about public mobile, I’m wondering if that is actually what he will receive, along with $1/month off his bill.

Haven't heard of a $50 credit, wow, that is a good one, if that is for real.

I have heard of a $20 credit when referring a friend though.

There isn't any $50 credit offer from Public Mobile for being referred. If a retailer is offering this, please contact them for details.

When did you activate? Did you enter your brother's referral code? If you used a different referral code where did you get it from? Did you activate with the $50 plan? There has been a free third month credit with email registration and in store activations ending May 24th. The online activation deadline was June 4th.

On June 4th selected pm customers recieved a text from 5198 offering a bonus $20 referral credit for their first referral that activates by June 25th. The bonus $20 credit will be added to eligible accounts on June 28th and confirmation will be sent out by SMS text.
