Need clarification .Travelling to USA and calling from USA to US numbers and to back home to Canada while being there.

My question. Do I need to have a USA & Canada call plan plus a USA Roaming add-on ?

No, you would be good with the US roaming Add-ons. You have a choice of getting Talk & Text only or the Talk Text and Data

Depends on how long you are going , it might be cheaper to get a local US SIM instead. But there are some pros and cons with using US SIM, depends on what you need

Hello @msabeysekera , if you need to call USA number while you are in Canada regularly, than the $50 plan would be good for that.

But, as soon as you are in the USA, this plan will not cover this. When you are in the USA, you will require a Roaming Addon to make calls and texts and data. These Roaming Addons only last for 10 days, and start as soon as you purchase and add them to your account.

So depending on your needs you may want a USA SIM as @hTideGnow posts.

Any plan will work if you add a US Roaming add-on to it. What I can’t recall for certain is if you are on the $15 plan, how much calling out would you get while in the USA (and calling in @And out if on the $10 plan). I believe that your plans limit doesn’t matter in the USA, you get the amount of calling, texting & data you purchase in the add-on.
