      <description>&lt;P&gt;Need some help, Dad doesn't have data on his rogers plan and hasn't received SMS text to port his nbr.&amp;nbsp; Will this mean he can't port it to PM? Any help with this is greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Also, what are the first 6 digits of the number if you mind sharing. Also, what make/model/submodel is the phone? If he had been with Rogers for quite some time then maybe he has an old phone that might not be compatible here.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You should get a message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to port your number. Your reply should be: &lt;FONT size="5"&gt;YES&lt;/FONT&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;The confirmation message can take a few minutes to come in.
