I just received a text message from Public Mobile to visit self serve:

Please visit https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/ to make an update to ensure uninterrupted service. (2/2)

It says 2/2, but I only received one message. Is there an update required or is it just a general message to make an update if needed?

@MacMe : You've never seen that in all your time here? I think it's detecting that your payment card might be expired(ing). But as always make sure that link is legit.

Hi @MacMe this is the first time I've heard or seen this kind of message. If this is a new warning from Public Mobile to warn customers that their autopay might be compromised, then that is good news.

However, just to make sure, do not click on the link provided. Log in your self serve account manually and check if your registered credit card is about to expire. If it is not, report this to Public Mobile as it could be a new scam to get credit card information.

That's great advice @RosieR & @Anonymous regarding wanting to make sure the link is legitimate.

A lot of the times people will think what is displaying in the link is the link, however what it connects to is not what you see.

Always best to start fresh and enter the website.

Here is the complete message you likely received... I got this when the credit card I had registered for AutoPay was about to expire:

Hey, it's Public Mobile. The card registered for AutoPay on your account will expire in 30 days. (1/2)
