i paid for it before the autopayment, and it was funded.

On the next renewal those funds will be used first before your credit card.

When it comes time for your next renewal, any Rewards will be converted to $$ in Available Funds. If you already have sufficient $$ in Available Funds to cover the cost of next renewal, your on-file credit card doesn't get debited anything this time....and you'll still get the Autopay Reward of $2.

edit...until you're used to the process, keep an eye on your Available Funds just before every renewal to see how much your cc will get debited for. You can even prepay $$ into Available Funds before every renewal, if you want to. Any $$ in Available Funds can also be used to purchase add-ons.
