Porting a non-local phone number from Bell to PM

I've had the same mobile number with Bell for many years despite the fact that I have moved to a new city during this time. Will I be able to port my old phone number when I activate with Public Mobile even though it's not a local number to my current city?

Yes but anyone calling you maybe charged for a long distance call if they don't have any LD plan.

As mentioned above, yes, you will be able to port from Bell to PM, a non local number.

The number that you are porting from Bell must be from a city that Public Mobile also offers phone numbers for.

Check if Telus has any numbers in the town where the number is from. If they service that place you can bring that number over. Easiest is to Google the area code together with the word exchange
