when i leave my couch and want to use google maps to find something, my phone is always offline? Why cant i use internet service outside of my living room?

Of course you turn on mobile cell data right?

Or turn on wifi right?

Sometimes when a phone is idle for a while, those things disconnect.

Other than that, if wifi, maybe beyond the living room is out of range.

Or you have lousy cell reception beyond the living room until perhaps you get outside.

Is this while using Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi should travel further than one room. Are you a new customer and has internet ever worked while away from home? If not, this could be an APN setting issue.

A good place to start would be to compre your APN settings to the ones listed at this website: Set up data on an Android phone (publicmobile.ca)

@Me64 : Can you tell us and post if you referring to your Internet as in your mobile data, or your Internet as in your WiFi signal?

@Me64 this also happens to me on lte. it has something to do with your LTE signal quality and the frequency it's on. I suggest switching your preferred network type to 3g/HSPA/wcdma. your connection will most likely improve, but your Internet will be a little slower when browsing. but, at least you will have a reliable connection

what's the make and model of the device?

It's a Samsung a10e. I'll try your suggestion.

Seems weird to me that I cant use my google maps when I'm not on my couch. (I don't usually get lost in my house)

@Me64 nevermind sorry I was confused. in certain areas of my house I lose connection to LTE even when use showing full bars. it's probably still related to what I said

Hi @Me64

Could it be possible that you have the "WiFi only" setting enabled on the Google Map settings?

This setting is intended to limit data consumption when utilizing downloaded offline maps for navigavtion.

Perhaps check that setting - though it would be odd that simply moving from your couch would be the trigger for that.
