I have funds in my account, enough to pay for the next 3 month billing. Will PM take those funds to pay the bill or will they try to remove it from my credit card?

The cash balance would be used and any remaining owing less any awards would be charged to your credit card.

Always out of Available Funds first.

Yes, they will take from your available funds first, @baldy1

Oh, and you STILL get the $2.00 per cycle auto-pay bonus just for having auto-pay registered, even though your card won't get charged if you have available funds to cover the plan renewal.
