Hey I have a question about the $50 10 gig plan is it virtually the same as the $50 8 gig plan?

This is what I have now plus 1 extra gig from when a Christmas promotion

My Plan

This plan includes: -
- 8.5GB at 3G Speed
- Unlimited International Text
- Unlimited Talk to Canada and the US

Will the data be slower? what is the difference between the plans?

I got the 1 gig about a year ago at christmas they had a promotion

The only difference between the plans is the extra 2GB of data. The old version includes 8.5GB while the new versions includes 10.5GB.

As for the the 1GB data bonus, whether you get to keep that depends on the conditions of the promotion that you received it. Was it a new customer offer?

You get to keep those. If you future-date any plan change, there will be no affect on any rewards in your account.

I believe it was a new customer offer. It was around 2 Christmases ago they offered everyone who signed up as a new client an extra gig per month with the plan but it seemed tied to the plan

If it's a 1GB bonus per 30 days and and since you're already on the old $50 8.5GB plan, go ahead and future date the change. You have nothing to lose as the new $50 plan includes more than the bonus you receive each 30 days.

@Justlikeme : This was the offer back then in early Dec 2019. It doesn't say, like some other promos have here over time, that you can't change the plan. In this case just >=$35.

So that promo 1gb should stay with you giving you a total of 11.5 GB per 30 days.
