Yes, you are allowed to change the plan early. Make sure to confirm that you are not getting charged from your the transaction history. Did you try it using private/incognito browsing mode?

Hi, I'm trying to reset the plan before the renewal date, is this allowed? Ran out of data and instead of waiting for next cycle/puchasing an add-on might as well reset the plan

I tried "changing" the plan to the same plan but nothing really happens. I have enough credit in my account for the "new" plan but it's not being charged even though I selected "Change plan now". Is this supported or I'm stuck with buying more data add-ons?

thanks!

this is what I have tried:

- In change my base plan, I selected the same plan that I'm currently on now

- At the bottom of the screen, it shows "This cost of this plan is higher than your current available funds. You will need to make a payment to your account to complete the plan change." (because I had $0 at that time)

- I topped up the account, so that it has enough fund in it

- I selected to change the plan again, after like 10-20 seconds it goes back to main page without changing anything, and I am not getting charged (fund is still in the account)

- Tried the same process again, nothing really happens and the fund is still in the account

Should I have done this differently?

Thanks for your help!

Try again using private/incognito browsing mode or using another browser. If it still doesn't work, send a private message to one of the mod with your account and phone numbers. They will be online tomorrow morning.

Perhaps nothing is happening because the new plan is identical to the old plan. Anyway, I suggest private messaging a moderator to see what they can do.

a little update on this:

contacted the mods, they are super helpful and it was fixed within a couple hours. looks like they just switched it to a "temp" plan, then switch back to my current plan, and refund me for the "temp" plan switch so that I only get charged for the new plan

anyways, contacting the mod is the way to do this, thanks guys!

I believe that you could have actually changed the plan yourself and then back, but the system would have automatically charged you for both, and you have been required to add a top up to accomplish it. I do believe that you are on to something when you say that the moderator may have just change you to a different plan and then back. I can't see the system allowing you to "change" your plan to one that is the same.

Depending on how much more data you require for the remainder of time that you had already paid for on your plan, data add-ons may have been worth considering. However, those add-ons are really onlly good for low usuage.

Keep in mind, none of this would have been possible if you were on a plan that is no longer offered.
