Hello I am thinking of buying an iPhone 7+ from Telus. I live chatted with them and they said it will work with public mobile. Is it possible for you guys to confirm for me that the iPhone 7+ will indeed work on public mobile without getting it unlocked?

Yes, in order to work with Public Mobile, a phone must be either unlocked or locked to Telus/Koodo.

As for hardware compatibility, the iPhone 7+ will work fine. You can verify on this site: http://willmyphonework.net/

A phone that works with Telus or Koodo will work on PM as well. Most unlocked iPhones starting from iPhone 4 can work as well. That's from my experience.

You meant any locked Telus and Koodo phone will definitely work Witn public mobile network

Just a suggestion... if you are going to pay full price then don't buy it from Telus.

Get it unlocked from the Apple Store...

This is a huge advantage for when you travel, or if you need to sell the phone one day.

No, you shouldn't. Both would use the nanoSIM.

Both phones use the nano SIM card size, so you're fine; you don't need a different SIM card.

And besides...if you bought a PM SIM recently then it should be the triple-punch where you can re-use each size by re-inserting into the size up.
