International Texting

Quick question, (just to confirm) my 40 $/month plan includes international texting. Does international texting mean when I am in Canada I can text international numbers, or does it mean if I am in another country (say the USA) I can text USA numbers while I am in that country?

Just asking because the last time I was in the USA, and tried texting USA numbers, it prompted a failed to send reply. Once I got the Roaming Texting Add-On, I was able to text USA numbers in the USA.

You need to be in Canada to send and receive international texts. If in the US you need the US add on.

@marcandreb16 , international texting means you can text to any international number while in Canada and connected to the Public Mobile network. All services, not just text messaging is based on being connected to the Public Mobile network. The only exception is for US roaming which involves purchasing an add-on.

if you are in USA and you want to text, you need the Roaming package...

and in terms of roaming, PM only have US roaming and that is. If you are other countries, like UK, no roaming choice at all.

If you plan to go US or other countries.. consider using other mean of communication, like Whatsapp. Then get a local Data SIM. This will be cheaper
