Referral discount?

I signed up for the $15/month plan using a referral code. I have confirmed that the person who referred me got a text "(...) You've successfully referred a friend to Public Mobile (...)". I understand they will get $1 off a month - great.

However, I also understood that I was supposed to get $10 off signing up because of the referral, but I see no evidence of that.

(I checked the below, none of this seems to be personal information - no identifying content)

In what way are my expectations wrong?

The $10 credit will get added to your account within 72 hours. It usually shows up by the next morning

You get the $10 credit to your account within 72 hours of activation.
