      <title>Area Code 506</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Good day guys ! I am having two problems, first one, when people try to call me they have to dial the area code and then my number even though is in the same city, is that normal? Local people are telling me that is not, that they should be able to dial my phone without the 506. Second, sometimes, even though they dial the 10 digits, I cannot be reach, the phone says is disconnected, how can I fix that? thank you&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They can just add the number in their contact list so they don't have to keep dialing. As for the unreachable issue, i expect something wrong on their end. May be signal issue on their or your device?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Area code 428 was supposed to become effective in NB in November and 10 digit dialling was supposed to start transitioning in August if I recall correctly. This has been delayed though til April 2022. Being one of the few regions left only now having to implement 10 digit dialing&amp;nbsp; despite not having use an area code previously your pm service is forcing the issue most likely on both sides calling and recieving. Do callers get the same message if they dial the 10 digit phone number but with the (1) added to it?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Edit: This would likely be due to the fact that they don't have long distance included in their plan. They might want to check where their local calling coverage ends/begins.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I kept my 778 number for a long time, until the company (iRoam) I was with stopped service completely with no notice lol. NBer's can't go wrong changing or updating contacts now as they are going to be forced to sooner or later.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
