SIM cards normally cost $10. There are no other fees other than the plan prices and any add-ons that you decide to purchase.

The only costs are the SIM card and the plan you pick. You can also choose to purchase add ons.

There are no extra charges, hidden fees, overages or extra billing at public mobile. The regular price for a sim card is $10. I believe amazon currently has them for $5. Canadian Cell Supplies often has them for $1.99 or free with their activation special.

Walmart or london drugs will often offer a sim card for free with activation ( but you may not qualify for a promo so check the conditions of the promo first.) Avoid activating at a koodo retail location they often charge a $30 activation fee.

@ze1 These types of charges will be entirely dependent on how and where you elect to do business to get service activated with Public Mobile. If you happen to be using a phone which was locked to a previous carrier, some businesses STILL charge a service fee to complete the unlocking process on your behalf (even though an individual can do it themselves with no cost with the carrier)

Advice on how to go about this:

Get the SIM card from canadiancellsupplies.com or other place who may sell it for under $10 - heck, you may have a friend or family member with an extra SIM. (or through London Drugs or Walmart if you're in a rush)

Then, make sure you have a referral code from a friend or family, and sign up for the Lunar New Year deal in advance of the activation to get bonus data. (click here: Flash Sale (publicmobile.ca)
