Yes, you need a Public Mobile SIM card to port any number to Public Mobile.

You do need a Public Mobile SIM card, but if you already have an active Public Mobile account, the Freedom Mobile phone number can replace the one that is currently on your Public Mobile account.

Usually, I would say you'll be fine if you give it 2 to 3 hours, although it can take less time (or more). If there's a reason that you need the porting done by a certain time, don't wait until the last moment.

Ensure your Freedom account is active when you port. It will be closed automatically once the port is complete.

Yes, you'll need a Public Mobile SIM card.

Here's how /where you can get one:

From Public Mobile on this website, click shop tab on top of page
Go to Walmart - they'll provide one and do the activation for you
London Drugs - they supply them
online thru canadiancellsupplies.com OR at one of their retail locations

Once you get the SIM card, and have a payment card ready, you can click to Activate.

Be sure to secure a referral code from a friend or family member who is a current Public Mobile customer to get a $10 credit within 30 days applied to your account.
