Hi, I am just wondering if you can text from Canada to the UK with our texting plan? If you use 011 and 44 in front of the number? I checked the add ons but nothing I can see about an international plan. Just interested in keeping in touch with the family overseas.

@SusanD1963 Yes you can text the UK. You can try +44 if 011 44 not working.

All international texting must originate from within Canada.

You can send / receive texts from anywhere in the world...as long as you are in Canada.

FYI - For calling there are some available with an ADDON.

Go to your "Addons" in your SELF SERVE you will see:

Calls made to numbers starting with the following UK codes are not included in UK calling from Canada and will not be completed when dialled: 4470, 44870-44879, 44843-44845. Intl long distance Add-On included countries: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada.

Remember here at Public Mobile there are noo overages. So you will not be billed for something you do not already have access to do.

Actually there is only one add-on to call UK at a cost of $15.

The only other add-on that allows UK calling is if you got the 500 minute free holiday gift.

1000 U.K. Long Distance Minutes - $15

Calls made to numbers starting with the following UK codes are not included in UK calling from Canada and will not be completed when dialled: 4470, 44870-44879, 44843-44845.

It's easier and Free to simply use Whatsapp to call people free in the UK. That's what I do. Unless you're trying to call a landline and not a mobile. As WhatsApp both parties need the app.

Public Mobile has a long distance calling add-on to UK for reasonable price....

Yes, to text to UK.. type 011 44 and then the number
