3g no internet, no 4g connection

Hi,

I bought a new cell phone but the mobile data don't work.

The new phone : Umidigi F2 (data not working (no internet connection), in my house connection low 3g) : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000287960788.html?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.12e47301jdrF0L

My old phone : Cubot King kong 3 (data was working, in my house connection high 4g) : https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009164792098.html

I probably don't understand how band work... or I need to change something in the setting...

Anybody can help me out?

First off, do you have no 3g network connection, or no internet? If you're unable to connect to the 3g/HSPA network, or if the signal is too weak, phone calls wouldn't/might not work. Do phone calls work?

If it's just data not working, this is likely an issue with the APN settings. To start, have a look here:

If the specific model is the same as your aliexpress link then the phone should be fine. So yes...APN.

1- reset network settings (you'll loose saved wifi passwords) if it still don't work number 2.

2. Put on airplane mode for a few minutes. Turn off airplane mode and try if still not working number 3.

3. Add APN settings

Save and reboot phone and try. If not working try these.

If still not working number 4.

4 some of these types of phones have greyed out apn. Which means you can't add on your own. You'll have to get your hands on a freedom mobile sim card to add APN settings. For some reason Freedom sims let you add APN. Or contact moderstors. Some mods send an APN config file to your phone so you can install correct APN.

@auxaurus , I have a Umidigi F2 and I can vouch that the phone works fine with this service. In fact, I am using it now. This being a dual SIM device, you need to make sure to set the default SIM to use for each of mobile data, calls and SMS. You will find this in settings, SIM cards. Click on Mobile network and select app data usage, click on the gear to bring data warning and usage limit and make sure those are properly set to not restrict data usage. The required APN information was contained within the phone APN database. I did not have to make any APN changes or additions.

Ur amazing, I have data access now! But...

I follow Jb456 option 3 for the APN setting. Got 3g connection with data working well. I still don't understand why I cannot connect to the 4g like my old cell phone. If someone can still help me with that, it will be awesome!

This setup worked for me om my new Phones : Sony Xa2 and xa2Ultra
