I purchased a Refurbished phone and Sim card from Public Mobile a few days ago. I received a Confirmation email and receipt with order number... That was is...

My questions are...

Will they email me with a Tracking number once it ships?

How long does it take to ship?

Has anyone got any experience buying one of these phones?

Not hearing anything back from PM is the worst part of this...

I have only purchased a SIM card but it was in mail box in a week. But with holidays postal service is slower.

You will reveive an e-mail message informing of you of shipment. Please note that during holidays, shipping and prcoessing times will be longer because of there being more non-business days.

Thank you. What is their delivery standard? How many business days? I never saw anything anywhere saying it would be 2 business days or 14 days... Did I miss something?

How long will it take to receive my Certified Pre-Owned phone order?

Your order will ship via Canada Post or UPS and you should receive your order within 10 days. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number.

Members on this community can only provide information provide on the phone shopping pages. I know this is a pilot project to determine whether there is any demand for the CPO(Certified Pre-Owned) phones from PM subscribers. It would be nice to add tracking info on the shopping page.

Most online order will take money from your payment card when shipped. I don't know how PM handle the online orders.

What is the transaction status from your payment card online?

pending or charged?

Hey, I actually just did this early December.

So I'll give a little rundown.

The phone does come with a tracking number.

It shipped surprisingly fast. I think it left from Calgary.

Mine got sent on the 9th. Delivered on the 15th.

And that's during December prime delivery weekends.

The phone comes in good condition as far as I can tell.

I imagine they did not purchase any pre-owned that had visual defects.

Mine looks brand new. I did notice the battery is a definitely not brand new, but not one of those completely drain ones either. So I expect a good year or two before it really needs a replacement.

All in all, I'm actually really happy with the outcome.

Warranty for a year. The phone is in good condition.

Don't have to deal with Facebook Marketplace or any of that.

I think that the CPO(Certified Pre-Owned phone are those phone returned within 14 days after new activation of a postpaid plan at Telus or Koodo. They are not heavily used phone.

I've bought nothing but low cost good quality refurbished phones for 6-7 years. For me it is the only way to go. Leave the initial fluff cost to the person who wants the prestige. I see it as a tool. Not a symbol of my status. And I still get that new phone experience when I purchase.
