free giveaway minutes

Hi. I asked for the $0 Free Holiday Giveaway: 500min INTO Long Distance incl CA & US, but when I ran out of my 100 regular minutes, I couldn't call long distance in Canada any more without buying 500 more minutes. How do I ask my account to start using these free 500 minutes?

@Francie Are the free minutes showing in your account overview page? If not, go in and select them again in "buy add ons" and then select buy.

You don't "ask" for them. You "purchase" them under Purchase Add-ons.

If you see the $0 holiday gifts under your data & add-ons area of your overview page then maybe restart your phone.

To add these add-ons to your account:

Log into your Self-Serve account
Click “Purchase Add-Ons” in My Data & Add-ons section of Overview tab
Select the Free Holiday Giveaway: $0 1GB Add-on and/or Free Holiday Giveaway: $0 500min INTL Long Distance (incl CA & US). It’s up to you if you want one or both!
Click “Buy Add-Ons” at the bottom of your screen.

@Francie Try adding a 1 and area code if you haven't already tried it. All of my contacts are saved this way.

That was the next call - a long distance one. But I only had a few minutes left of the minutes I had bought and it wouldn't go through, despite the giveaway 500 minutes sitting there. I checked the add-on page, but it's no longer available since I already added it on... Now I'm at the end of 500 minutes that I had to buy and am wondering if I need to do anything in order to have those giveaway 500 minutes click in this time.

@Francie I would try restarting your phone. If that doesn't work contact a moderator for help at the link below:

You should receive a reply within 48 hours though typically they are much faster. Watch the envelope icon top right for a reply.
