old $10 plan, no data but with promo data

i have the old $10 plan that has no data.as part of the plan. yet i have been given, by pm,

a 1GB promo, plus now the holiday 2GB one time add on. can i use this data with my plan

and if not can i give the data to another member? thanks.

@aartmunn This is no different than if you were to purchase a data add on. It is yours to use when and where you see fit. Unfortunately you can't give it to anyone else.

Yes, data add-ons can be used with plans without data. Sorry, but data cannot be transferred.

You can use the data add-on. You won't be able to transfer it. Also you would need to setup APN settings in order to use data.

Make sure you have the correct APN settings.

Tap - settings - network and internet - mobile network - advanced ( scroll down to ) - access point names
Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: Leave blank

Select Save/Done. Select Public Mobile to connect to the Public Mobile network

@aartmunn As long as your plan is active you can use any data add-ons just make sure data is turned on to be able to use it. If it doesn't work then make sure you have the correct APN settings on your device.
