You can also select the option to customize the last 4 digits of your number. Note that you can change your phone number once every 30 days after you’ve activated.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When you transfer or port your phone number from another provider, you can keep your existing number. Before you do, here are some things you should know:&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Only the authorized account holder can transfer a number.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;You cannot transfer numbers between Public Mobile accounts.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Your previous account must be active in order for the number transfer to go through. Assuming that you have his permission, you just need to provide his name to the moderators (or on the number porting if you do it during activation) and the Virgin Mobile account number.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Enter her fathers full name on the virgin account. The virgin account # and the phone number to be ported (hers.) The alternate phone # is optional. She may want to use a home phone or yours or her fathers. It does get registered in her pm account and can be used to help verify her identity if needed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Usually a port from virgin will happen within a few minutes but allow up to 2 hours. Once the number is completely ported service on the virgin sim will stop. Services on the pm sim card will partially start right away with outgoing calling/texting and data and when she can recieve incoming texts and calls on the pm sim card this will confirm that the port is complete. If there is porting protection on the virgin account make sure dad removes it first before porting. If after 2 hours incoming calling/texting are not active on the pm sim and the virgin sim card is still active then the port is stuck and you should contact the moderators to fix the port. (Unlikely but it does happen.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Be sure to have your daughter register her email for the second thirty days free credit promotion currently on offer and make sure she enters a referral code for an additional $10 credit on top of the autopay $2 reward. I've activated many virgin numbers and none have failed. by the way I'm even able to go backwards without the system screwing up. follow these instructions when activating&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if porting, only use the account number(make sure this is the correct number. if there are two similar numbers, choose the number without letters) and pin(voicemail password) from the previous provider&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;*because your daughter's phone number is under the same account as her father's. you need to make sure she doesn't use his number as the alternate number, otherwise public mobile can have a brain fart and accidentally port the wrong number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anytime you're proceeding to the next page and its loading, keep wiggling your mouse curser so the system doesn't hang. do this till the next page loads.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when registering your credit card use all capital letters and leave the apt field blank.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;after clicking "process payment" don't forget to keep wiggling your mouse &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":thumbs_up:"&gt;👍&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then insert your sim, reset your network settings and restart your phone&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Enter her fathers full name on the virgin account. The virgin account # and the phone number to be ported (hers.) The alternate phone # is optional. She may want to use a home phone or yours or her fathers. Once the number is completely ported service on the virgin sim will stop. If there is porting protection on the virgin account make sure dad removes it first before porting. If after 2 hours incoming calling/texting are not active on the pm sim and the virgin sim card is still active then the port is stuck and you should contact the moderators to fix the port.
