My phone could not receive one-time verification code from CIBC (whether desktop login or App lgin). I have never had this problem with Fido. Just ported my number from FIDO to PM.

I restarted my phone twice. Still no luck.

Anybody knows why?

If you just ported it may take 24 hours for these type (2FA) of texts to work. Maybe just wait and try tomorrow?

That is why criminals are using SIM swapping to circumvent this measure.

@jamesace2008 just wait for a few days and ty again. Also, what is your area code? If it is new, like 672 - not all companies support it yet, so calls/sms may be missing from them. Happened to me with TD. In the end, I changed my phone number to the one with an old area code. No issues after that.
