How do I change location?

I have a 780 area code and want to change location for my phone. Is it possible to do that? I have moved to a different community, still in the 780 area code range and want the location to reflect that move.

You can do that in the self-serve under Change Number. Select province, then city, then a number. You won't get great numbers but if you get a new area code number you could have a pretty good number. You can also choose the city above then come back to your city of choice and you would get a new list to choose from. Keep going until you find one you like.

@SheilaR hi go into your self serve account under change number and choose the city you are in

To change your phone number: sign in to Self-Serve, select ‘Change Number' under 'My Profile' on the Overview page. Here, you can choose to select a new phone number or to transfer a wireless or wireline number from another provider.

You need to change your phone number for that community.

780 - xxx - yyyy

Where xxx = community code

I have an Edson AB number 780-600-yyyy with 780 area code.

I will not change your phone number if the new community is within Edmonton. Your new and old friends will not need to pay long distance to call you within Edmonton.

I know that others have been suggesting to consider changing your phone number. I'm reading your question as wanting to take your same phone number and re-assign it to a different city. That isn't sonmething that can be done. Any given phone number is assigned as belonging to specific city and that city assignment for that number cannot be changed. As others are saying, you'll neeed to decide if you wish to change your phoone number completely.

@computergeek541 Yes, you read that correctly. I want to keep my phone number but change the location. From what you are saying I am unfortunately not able to do this. Much thanks for answering this for me!
