Hi my name is Adam. I've decided I'm leaving my current carrier from Freedom to join Public. I have an Iphone 7 32gb, I would like the 40$ plan/month (38$ with autopay) and finally the hardest part about this I would like to keep my current number which is currently in my father's name. It's in my fathers name because he's been paying for my plan at freedom. So what is the process to switch numbers with my current phone number being in my father's account from freedom (my father is aware I'm trying to swtich)?

The names being different isn't an issue. During the porting process, the request needs to include your father's name (either in the message to the moderators or on the number porting form).

The name on the Public Mobile account can be different.

@agalejs , during the activation process you can select number transfer option. At that point, you simply enter the account information for the Freedom account that has the number you wish to transfer over. It is that simple. I am a Wind transplant myself. You will like it here.

@agalejs you can port your Freedom number over when activate your SIM card. Give them the name on the account, the number to port and the Freedom account number. Please note your Freedom account must be active to port your number.

@agalejs Never been at Freedom but understand that the DBC part listed in a Freedom account is considered part of Freedom Mobile account number.

Yes, the DBC is part of the account number. The porting will fail without it.
